🎧 Our latest Colorado Outdoors podcast episode is on the White-tailed Ptarmigan -- a bird best-known for changing its color to white during the winter so that blends in with snow.

We talk with species conservation coordinator Amy Seglund. She tells us the bird is doing well in Colorado, but there are concerns about its future.

Ptarmigan live year-round from about 9,500 feet elevation and above, so studying these well-camouflaged birds is challenging ─ to say the least.
