In California, children under 2 years of age must be secured in a rear-facing car seat unless the child weighs more than 40 pounds or is 40 or more inches tall. After a rear-facing car seat, children transition to a forward-facing seat.

We know choosing and installing a car seat can be over whelming! Our Fire Safety Coordinator is a Certified Car Seat Safety Technician and can help by checking your car seat to be sure it is installed correctly. Once you have your car seat installed, you can give us a call to set up an appointment to have your child’s car seat checked. You can call our Fire Admin Office at 707-449-5452 to make an appointment.
