Karl Okerman Fishing Qualifies for The Ultimate Angler Championship After BAM Moses Lake Top-5 Finish

Karl Okerman’s 5th-place finish at the 2026 BAM Northwest Pro-Am on Moses Lake has earned him a spot in the Ultimate Angler Championship on legendary Lake Guntersville in Alabama.

For Okerman, this qualification marks a major career moment.

“I just found out I qualified to fish in this event,” Okerman said. “We are headed to the famous Lake Guntersville this year in Alabama. This will be the biggest event of my life. I will be competing for $500K.”

From Moses Lake to Lake Guntersville

The BAM Moses Lake Pro-Am brought together a strong Northwest field, and Okerman’s Top-5 finish proved enough to punch his ticket to one of the biggest events in bass fishing.

Lake Guntersville is one of the most recognized bass fisheries in the country, known for producing big bags, major tournament moments, and high-pressure competition.

A Major Opportunity for a Western Angler

Okerman will now represent the West and the BAM Trail stage as he heads across the country to compete for a massive $500,000 prize.

His qualification shows the growing strength of BAM Trail anglers and the opportunity created through high-level western tournament competition.
