Anne Sumner, founder, knows the challenges faced by children with incarcerated parents—her own children experienced them. Struggling with addiction for years, she served six prison sentences while her kids entered the foster care system. A life-changing car accident forced her to reevaluate her path, leading to recovery and a fresh start. Now, with over six years of sobriety, she has dedicated her life to breaking cycles of trauma. Through Fighting for Family Freedom, she provides support, stability, and hope to children affected by parental incarceration, proving that second chances can create lasting change.
