There is something very special happening in South Florida. The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO), led by the one and only Maestro Eduardo Marturet, is about to embark on the MISO Steinway Artist Series during its 2026-2027 season. The Series will highlight the artistry and legacy of the legendary piano maker, Steinway & Sons.

The season of pianos will take place inside the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts’s Knight Concert Hall, starting with its Grand Season Opening on Sunday, November 15 2026.

The virtuoso performances throughout the 2026-2027 season will include piano soloists and collaborations, showcasing music by Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Mozart, Stravinsky, Brahms, Liszt, Khachaturian and more. This includes the World Premiere of Marturet's "Miami Vice for Six Pianos," a MISO 2027 commission that will feature six grand pianos accompanied by the orchestra.

This past season, Marturet, leading conductor from Venezuela and a Steinway artist himself, celebrated his 20th anniversary as The MISO's Music Director and CEO, and he signed a contract extension for an additional five years, through 2032.

When announcing that extension, Emilio Estefan Jr., Chairman of The Miami Symphony Orchestra, said, “We are honored to have Maestro Marturet’s ongoing leadership and artistic brilliance guiding us into this exciting next chapter. His passion and commitment have shaped MISO into a beacon of innovation and creativity, and he continues to be an inspiration to us all.”

The MISO has been the official symphony orchestra of the City of Miami since 2022.
