CityPlace Doral will host, along with RECREA, a Back-to-School event as part of its Family Fun Fridays series on Friday, August 1, at 6 p.m. at the Fountain Plaza.

The back-to-school bash will feature a lively dance party with a live DJ, entertainment, interactive games and more surprises for the whole family to enjoy. The first 40 kids will receive a goodie bag just in time for the new school year.

SUCCESS! The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) closed its 2024-2025 season on Mother's Day with a concert that highlighted the love that mothers give and deserve. Maestro Eduardo Marturet and the MISO musicians, along with special guest performances, left it all on stage for the appreciative crowd. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava was present to accompany Marturet to present Tatiana Guibiritey with the MISO Golden Baton Award 2025 for her extensive contribution to the arts. Congratulations to all!

En honor a Tatiana Guiribitey, MISO Golden Baton Award 2025

La Orquesta Sinfónica de Miami (MISO), bajo la batuta del Maestro Eduardo Marturet, se enorgullece en presentar su Gran Concierto de Clausura de la Temporada 2024-2025: “Una Celebración del Día de las Madres”, el domingo 11 de mayo a las 6:00 PM en el Adrienne Arsht Center. Este extraordinario concierto celebrará la belleza, el amor y la fortaleza de las madres a través del lenguaje universal de la música, reuniendo a un elenco estelar de músicos e invitados especiales para una noche inolvidable.

Tatiana Guiribitey, apasionada defensora de las artes y fiel colaboradora de MISO, recibirá el MISO Golden Baton Award 2025 en reconocimiento a su compromiso inquebrantable con la cultura y la comunidad.

The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO)’s The Soundtrack of My Life was held last Saturday March 8, honoring Miami legend Emilio Estefan with a musical tribute, and with the announcement of the special proclamation of “Emilio Estefan Day” by Miami-Dade County Commissioner and former Florida State Senator René García Miami Dade Commissioner District 13

Guided by the baton of Maestro Eduardo Marturet, the MISO had one of its grandest events, from the musical to the theatrical in a specially decorated Knight Concert Hall at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. The evening celebrated the musical, philanthropic and entrepreneurial career of Estefan, who was recently named Chairman of the MISO.

Featuring outstanding vocalists Nico Ruiz, Ana Villafañe, Carlos Camilo, Sory Perez, Claudia Lopez and Teena Barnes (former vocalist of The Wailers), Marturet guided the musicians through Estefan-produced pieces that have been cemented in film and history.

Miami-Dade County Film Commissioner Marco Giron accompanied Garcia in presenting Estefan with the proclamation by County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners.

By the end of the night, the audience was singing and dancing! MISO Lead Ambassador Athina Marturet and the iconic Miami Sound Machine singer Gloria Estefan led the dancing from the balcony seats overlooking the stage.

An amazing night for sure! And one to remember in Miami arts and culture history!
