Y’all, as much as I’d love to gatekeep this treat… I have to put you on.

It’s Kem Sữa Chua, Vietnamese frozen yogurt and I seriously can’t get enough. It’s perfectly balanced sweet, tart, creamy, and super refreshing.

I ate two and bought them out for the day so I’ll be good for the next 2 days... Stop by, grab yourself one… or two. It’s addicting.

First time making Vietnamese street snack Bánh Bột Chiên and I honestly don’t know what took me this long. These crispy, chewy rice cakes are ridiculously addictive...

I used the store-bought rice cake block, sliced it up, and pan-fried it until golden and crispy. It does use quite a bit of oil, so I went with avocado oil to justify eating an unreasonable amount of them... don’t judge me.

I dipped it in a sweet and savory soy dipping sauce and fresh chili peppers…

Keep in mind they’re still in their soft opening phase, so be patient.

Nam khao is one of my favorite Lao crispy rice salads! I usually make it Lao-style spicy, but toned it down this time for a dinner party. The rice balls are coated in red curry paste and egg (as a binder), then deep-fried until golden and crispy. Once fried, they’re gently broken apart and tossed with fermented cured pork, green onions, cilantro, and roasted peanuts.

To finish, I made a simple fish sauce dressing with lots of lime and fish sauce to bring everything together. I like to serve it immediately, since the rice tends to soak up the dressing and lose its crunch.
