GA Film Academy and Assembly Studios Launch Partnership to Expand Workforce Training for Georgia’s Film Industry

Starting this August, students will gain hands-on experience that prepares them for the demands of Georgia’s film and TV industry — in a new 32,000-square-foot training facility right outside the gates of Assembly Studios.

As Hilton Howell, CEO of Gray Media, said: “One of Georgia’s most remarkable treasures is the Georgia Film Academy.”

Assembly Studios and Universal Production Services had the honor of hosting students from SCAD - The University for Creative Careers. From walking through the soundstages to hearing real-world insights from industry pros, these students didn’t just observe — they connected, asked questions, and saw what’s possible.
