Working with Dan from Liquid Studios was by far one of the best recording experiences I’ve had. My band was recording some demos solely for personal use, but Dan still took extra time and care to mix our songs, and they honestly came out much better than anything I’ve recorded before… And costed way less, too. You can tell Dan is a metal guy at heart, as he definitely knows what a metal band should sound like, and the overall mix certainly reflects that. My drums sounded great, as did the vocal and killer tone out of the guitars. To top it off, he’s patient, super easy to work with, AND he even brings his studio to you! If you’re a metal band looking for awesome recording for an awesome price, then I can’t think of anyone better. (Buried December)

Recording with Dan from liquid studios was an easy and fun process. We knew right away we wanted to work with him because of the affordable price of recording, mixing, and mastering, but also his ability to make the music he works on sound so damn good. Also, the fact that he comes to YOU makes everything so much easier. https://soundcloud.com/joey-bazzano
I have been a musician since I was 14 years old. I grew up with music played in my house daily, long parties, weekends etc. I think I've come by the majority of attitudes and personalities that could be pleasant or acquired tastes. That being said Liquid Studios(LS) impressed me first and foremost with business etiquette and attitude. Secondly with approachability, not once did LS make me feel as if I were being a hassle. Third is the final product. LS put out some good remasters of my original recordings. LS brought a breath of fresh air and as LS put it "polished it up so people could see it shine." There are few mortals whose wise words are taken into heavy consideration in the BANES ears. Dan Thabet is one of those mortals. A man dedicated to his craft to perfection. A man who strives to get the absolute best out of you and by the old gods and the new he will get your absolute best. You will sound better, meaner then you ever thought you could. Your riffs will soar, your drums will penetrate, your words will ring out for generations. Liquid studios is the only studio in all of the nine realms that could contain the tales of Dragons Bane. Lord Thabet is quickly rising and shattering expectations. He is history in the making. Now tell us, don't you want to be a part of that? From the wise words of DRAGONS BANE, Earth Realm 2014

Working with Dan at liquid studios was a blast! He really took his time and put a lot of effort into every aspect of our recording. This really got us excited because we knew it was going to sound great right away. He was really flexible with scheduling as well and that took a lot of strain off of our hectic lives. It was an honor working with him, and we are happy to call him our friend now. Anthony (NQA)

Working with liquid studios has been awesome. Dan was a pleasure to work with because no matter what he cares about the art you create. He doesn't let anything hold him back to get the best sound out of what you are doing. He sits and slaves over the art you slaved to create. From now on I know where to go when I need that final opinion on how my songs should sound and he's a huge help in the end process . Liquid studios is the place you definitely want to go for price and quality! Contact us today and we can discuss how Liquid Studios can take your song to the next level!!! 🎸 Stop Ruining Your Guitar Tone

Nothing is worse than writing a riff that feels like it could level a building…
and then hitting record only to get something that sounds thin, fizzy, and lifeless.

In this week’s Riff to Radio episode, I’m breaking down how to capture massive, aggressive guitar tones right at home, using the gear you already have.

Here’s what you’ll learn:
🔥 How to record the perfect DI every single time
🔥 The #1 mistake guitarists make with gain (and how to fix it)
🔥 Amp sim settings for tight, modern metal tones
🔥 Easy EQ moves to kill fizz, carve out mud, and boost aggression
🔥 The secret to wide, powerful guitars with double-tracking

🎧 Watchnow and transform your riffs into a wall of sound: https://youtu.be/OYX7RIUPL2o

What’s the single biggest thing you struggle with when recording guitars?
Let me know in the comments, I read every one and might cover it in a future episode.

🎧 NEW PODCAST EPISODE IS OUT! 🎧

Let’s be real... a lot of the “rules” about music production are complete nonsense.
In this week’s Riff to Radio, I’m calling out the 5 biggest myths in music production that are holding musicians back from making killer tracks.

Here’s what we dig into:
🔥 Why expensive gear isn’t the magic key to pro sound
🔥 How intentional clipping can make your mixes punch harder
🔥 “More is more” vs. “less is more” — which one is right?
🔥 Why mastering can’t fix a bad mix
🔥 How perfectionism kills your creativity (and how to escape it)

If you’ve been feeling stuck, frustrated, or overwhelmed by conflicting advice, this episode is going to be a game changer.

👇 And let me know in the comments, what’s the WORST piece of production advice you’ve ever been given?

🎙️ New Episode of Riff to Radio 🎙️

You’ve got the riffs. You’ve got the chops. But every time you hit record… your tracks sound thin, muddy, and powerless.

Here’s the truth: you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars at a pro studio or buy gear that costs more than your car to capture crushing, release-ready metal. That “financial wall” is a myth.

In this week’s episode, I break down exactly how to build a professional-quality home studio for under $500. ⚡

Here’s what I cover:
⚙️ The audio interface that’s the backbone of every metal studio
🎤 The legendary dynamic mic that has shaped heavy music for decades
🎧 Why gaming headphones will ruin your mixes (and the models you should actually use)
💻 The $60 DAW that rivals the big industry names

For less than the price of a new smartphone, you can put together a rig that will serve you for years — and start recording music that sounds massive.

NEW EPISODE 🎧⚡️
Dolby Atmos for Bands — bigger sound, better playlists, more payout (no new gear needed).

I sat down with mastering legend Alan Douches and Atmos mixer David Stingle to break down what Atmos actually is, how it works in headphones, and how indie bands can use it to future-proof their releases.

What’s inside:
• What Atmos really is (object-based audio, zero fluff)
• Why Apple Music & co. push Spatial/Atmos playlists
• Stem-prep that makes your mix translate in 3D
• Realistic budget + workflow for DIY/indie artists

🎙️ NEW PODCAST EPISODE IS OUT NOW! 🎙️

Is mixing your own music the biggest mistake your band could be making? 🤔

You’ve spent months writing, recording, and pouring every ounce of passion into your songs. But when it comes time to mix… you’re too close to it. That emotional attachment can actually stop your music from sounding as huge and powerful as it should.

In this week’s episode of Riff to Radio, I’m breaking down the 4 most common mistakes bands make when mixing their own tracks—and why fresh, unbiased ears might be the secret ingredient to a crushing, pro-level mix.

Here’s what we dig into:

🎛️ Emotional EQing that kills your balance

🎤 Why buried vocals ruin connection with listeners

🔌 The “fix it in the mix” trap

🥱 Losing perspective after endless tweaks

If you’ve ever wondered why your mix doesn’t quite stack up against your favorite records, this episode is a must-listen.

🎙️ NEW PODCAST EPISODE: BUILDING A RELEASE STRATEGY THAT DOESN’T SUCK ⚔️

You poured everything into your album—months of writing, rehearsing, tracking, and mixing. But when it finally dropped… no one heard it.

Sound familiar?

On this week’s episode of Riff to Radio, I’m breaking down a real, actionable four-phase release strategy built specifically for metal bands. No vague advice, no “just post more” garbage—just a proven framework for getting your music heard.

Here’s what we cover:
✅ How to plan 3–6 months ahead
✅ What kind of content you actually need to post
✅ How to make the most of release day
✅ How to keep momentum going after the drop

Whether you’ve got a new album coming soon or you're still recovering from a release that went nowhere—this episode will change how you approach it.

🎙 New Episode Out Now!
“Don’t Quantize the Life Out of Your Music” – Riff to Radio Ep 8

Tight riffs. Machine-gun kicks. Brutal precision. 🤘
But if you're editing everything to the grid, you might be sucking the soul right out of your music.

In this episode, I’m breaking down:
⚠️ How over-editing kills groove
⚠️ Why “perfect” tracks are harder to mix
⚠️ The editing trap that wrecks your live show
⚠️ How to keep things tight without sounding robotic

If your mix sounds dead and you don’t know why… this one’s for you.
