We had a very special visitor in the studios this morning!

Nashville recording artist Frank Ray with Broken Bow Records stopped by 96.9 The Legend and 95.5 WTVY, along with Clay Dempsey, Patricia and Jason DeVane, to tell us about tonight’s First Responders Appreciation Concert at Porter Park in downtown Dothan.

This free community event is being held in honor of the men and women who serve and protect our communities, while also marking 25 years since the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Music and events begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Porter Park Events Plaza. Vendors and food trucks will be there earlier, so come hungry and make an evening of it!

Frank Ray will headline tonight’s concert, with special guests Dustin Herring and Noah Swanson also taking the stage.

The first 100 first responders in attendance will also receive a free meal.

A huge thank you to Hot’s Deli for sponsoring an evening dedicated to honoring the people who show up for our community when we need them most.

Come out tonight, enjoy some great live music, support our local first responders and help us say thank you to the men and women who serve the Wiregrass every single day.

Eddie Byrd and Steve Courtoy made the media rounds today spreading the word about the Kiwanis Club of Dothan Pancake Breakfast benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama!

First stop was the podcast studio with Jenn, where they talked pancakes, community, and why this fundraiser matters.

Then it was over to 95.5 WTVY to chat with Jerome and Dixie.

And they wrapped up the morning at 96.9 The Legend with BJ Kelli.

Three stops, important conversations, and one really good cause behind all of it!

The Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast runs September 14 through September 20. Tickets are $7 and may be redeemed during breakfast hours only. Tickets must also be redeemed in the same city where they are purchased.
