📸 Send us those Aurora photos your taking, the best way is to have a tripod setup, set camera exposure to about 3-10 seconds on night mode and point your camera north above the horrizon line. The current G4 solar storm going on with more CME (Coronal Mass Ejections) heading to earth with the main event coming tomorrow. 2 of 3 CMEs are impacting earth with the 3rd one hitting some time tomorrow or Thursday. Have those cameras ready pointed north best imaging sites away from city lights best chance possible!!!!

Good Morning, everybody. In light of the recent government shutdown, SNAP recipients will not receive November benefits starting November 1st, 2025, until the government reopens.

We would like everyone to remember that Douglas, our hometown, is fairly small; everyone practically knows everyone. We urge you to come together in community and help one another in need, even if it is the smallest thing so such as a box of spaghetti or even a pack of hotdog weenies and a pack of buns. We have some resources that will be in AZ, in Douglas or the surrounding areas.

If anyone is having any community assistance or any type of thing like that, please either message us or post in the comments so we can share as well!!

*Update as of 4:45 David Acosta surrendered himself to the authorities on site

A domestic dispute involving David Acosta had prompted a significant police response. The incident occurred at the couple's residence on 10th street and Monroe Ave Sunday afternoon before 2pm, with multiple law enforcement agencies and SWAT teams deployed to the scene.

David Acosta did release this statement on his page:

"I'm sorry for all the problems I have caused today, I love my Wife and children and would never ever hurt them or put them in harms way. They are safe and were never used as a bargaining chip or as hostages. I have my own demons to battle but I would not use them. Remember take if from me. Don't ever take who you love for granted. The worst mistake I have EVER made."

Update 3:54 P.M. Due to the nature of the situation of the subject being either a current or former DPD officer CCSO is handling the situation.

Douglas, Az this afternoon. Unconfirmed reports state A Douglas Police officer Is Barricaded in his home.

The incident has still shut the area down on 10th street and Monroe Ave this afternoon around 2pm.
