So we've got some top five picks to talk about in NHIAA Division 1 and Division 2 all together here on the MC5 Sports Podcast N.H.. Plus, we're also going to add our top goalie who we think will make it out of Division 2 and Division 1

Let's get on with the pics of this year's top players to keep your eyes on.

Number 5. Salem Blue Devils freshman

Hunter Thompson
Making his storyline in the Junior bantams with the River Rats this freshman has a lot of potential and could come out like a top scoring player he's got skills like Jack Eichel they call him Mr Money hands and is very very good at handling Puck control offensively defensively very strong two-way player he's a sniper at the slot of the net he's got excellent speed on the 2 on 1 break keep your eyes peeled on this kid he is actually starting to put a lot of Recruiters on point he's a player with a lot of potential.

Let's go to number four I got to pick you up from the Oyster River Bobcats
Cole Levesque this kid was phenomenal on his hands offensively won a lot of Face Off drawers excellent crashing the net on knows how to put put the puck in the back he's a state champion he's got a lot of skills great teammate excellent kid puts everything into his hard work and time I definitely say he is a great player he fits great in the top five as my number four.

I'm going to have to go on number three I'm going to go down to Spaulding High School and pick Tyler Jean number for the Red Raiders very structured influential kid great family background very hard working committed to putting a lot of time and effort to set a lot of plays up and every day I've heard rumors how committed he is on the ice and off the ice in school puts his effort in anything that he can get I think this year him being a senior it's going to make a lot of people turn heads in the Spalding High School program any college would be really good to pick him up I'd say he's got a bright future ahead of him he does occasionally trying to keep his team out of the Penalty Box he's a great Prospect I think he's going to be a captain of the Spaulding Red Raiders he's got some work to do after last year they lost to Merrimack in the state playoffs they got really snake bitten so I think that's Spaulding's got a lot of ground to bounce back from and they could go really a long way so this kid could potentially stun a lot of people in Rochester and he's the guy that you know you want to put the game on the line and he can bury the puck in the back of the net.

we're going to go to Greenwave of town for number two offensive player I think we'll start finding his game this year because he's a senior Andrew LeBlanc he had some very interesting games last year kind of an underdog kind of story kid very good potential his whole family lives and Brees hockey it's just you know one of those things that you could tell he's a hard another hard-working kid finds The Parks at the the center dots and the offensive zones knows how to clear the garbage out the kids got the bagel he's got the cream cheese he's just what you need to put everything in perspective for a top player this year I think it's going to be a big turn around for Dover after last year they didn't really do as well as they expected Mike Young the head coach at Dover Green Wave I think he's going to make a big turn around Dover is a very red hot team that's just waiting to erupt after they lose to an up and down season I think things are going to turn around for the Green Wave and they're going to look up and up with that kid putting a lot of Pucks in the back of the net and he's going to be the kid that's going to step up when things are in a tough potential.

for our number one
I got to go with a defenseman here that really did some good work Eli Evans the defending state champion from St Thomas Aquinas
He may turn a lot of heads blocking the puck and protecting his goaltender just fight St Thomas only having one goalie and still winning the State title there was a lot of good in Eli that really made me go wow this Saint Thomas really shook a lot of teams up being the underdog of the entire nhiaa division 2 Boys Hockey and I really think there could be a potential turnaround for him he could go back to back if he really gets the troops together and if they get the numbers and if everybody stays healthy like they did last year I could see another Underdog Story with the St Thomas Aquinas Saints, the genie can only be out of the bottle so many times but Chris Plummer believes that his team can make a big turnaround of events and and come out with a little bit more flavor in the sauce and it could really turn things around for St Thomas because they are one of the many schools that can recruit but in spite of that I really think they could turn heads come this season,

Now on to my number one and number two goaltender.

It was a real hard decision on the Seacoast to go with some good goaltenders there were a lot of them out there I just want everybody to know but the ones who have kept an eye on for the past few games on this side of the Seacoast I was torn between a lot of talent and skill and also watching when the chips are down are they willing to handle the situation in that Jimmy Craig/ Tim Thomas money goaltending situation

My number two goaltender in nhiaa Boys Hockey from division 1 and division 2 that is going to keep the team's head turning my number one goaltender I am going to have to go with Collin McIntyre she had a rough go being suspended two games I don't know if he is going to come back but if he does I think he's going to have a lot of people questioning about last season's fighting major that he suffered throughout the season I'm pretty sure head coach James Ferullo had a few words with him and told him you're going to need to keep a cooler head and stay focused between the pipes no more shenanigans with tackling other opponents and putting up your fisticuffs. But when this kid puts the pads on he is a very solid incredible goaltender I think a lot of colleges from division 3 might start seeing this kid as a potential money in the bank heist for a well-placed hockey player he still got a lot of ground to pick up but I think with last season behind him he knows what's at stake and this would be a huge opportunity for him to drill in the team today that this is where we stand and we need to be better than what we were last season and play as a team play as a unit.
I'm going to go out on a limb and head out to Somersworth New Hampshire where the Bearcats are sophomore Colby Strum the kid is an absolute monster when he makes big saves he's got an excellent octopus style like 1 Ken Dryden he's a had some struggles in the beginning of the 2024-25 season but in spite of that not making the playoffs I think that the Bearcats are going to make a big turn around and Fred strum is going to make a statement this year having a tightly contested goaltender Colby could possibly shock a lot of teams and I think they could make a top five appearance if the team stays in line and put some everything that they need in the right mindset a lot of rumors have been going around that the Bearcats are going to division 3 by the time is still in the timekeeper so we don't have that answer until the final notice gets put out but I think that you know in spite of their playoff loss the Bearcats could make a big turn of events and possibly come back and run the team back in the right direction the Bearcats have four goaltenders and to me in a division 2 Team even a division 1 team to have four goaltenders on your 20 card deck is actually really good I would say that right there is opportunity for teams to realize that the Bearcats could make a run for a state playoff if they stay on their right path and keep to their practices.

There are a lot of great players out there don't get me wrong but these are my pics from division 1 and division 2 so far there's been a lot of division 2 players that are making heads turn so this 2025-26 season could potentially bring out some players out of every division and catching the eyes of many sports analysts and podcasters all over the state so always remember keep your head up and keep going and stick to your grades and you'll become a very good hockey player we hope that you enjoy our pics for this year and we will see you this season for hockey in New Hampshire.
