🍓🫐 6 Homemade Sweet Spreads — Creamy, Healthy & Delicious! 😍
These easy homemade spreads are perfect for toast, pancakes, snacks, or desserts. From classic jams to rich curds and flavored butters — they’re fresh, flavorful, and way better than store-bought!
1️⃣ Raspberry Jam
Ingredients:
• 1 cup fresh raspberries, mashed
• 1½ cups granulated sugar
• 1 Tbsp lemon juice
• 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
• 1.75 oz Sure-Jell Fruit Pectin
• ¾ cup water
Instructions:
Follow standard jam-making process: combine mashed raspberries, sugar, lemon juice, and pectin with water. Boil and cook until thickened. Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
2️⃣ Strawberry Jam
Ingredients:
• 2 cups crushed fresh strawberries
• 4 cups granulated sugar
• 1.75 oz fruit pectin
• ¾ cup water
Instructions:
Mix crushed strawberries with sugar and pectin. Bring to a boil with water and cook until it reaches setting point. Jar and cool.
3️⃣ Blueberry Butter
Ingredients:
• 2 lbs fresh or frozen blueberries
• 1½ cups granulated sugar
• Zest and juice of 1 medium lemon
• 1 cinnamon stick (or 1 tsp ground cinnamon)
• ½ tsp freshly grated nutmeg
Instructions:
Cook blueberries with sugar, lemon zest/juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg until thickened and smooth. Blend if desired for silky texture. Jar and refrigerate.
4️⃣ Lemon Curd
Ingredients:
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• ⅓ cup fresh lemon juice
• 2 large eggs + 2 large egg yolks
• 1 Tbsp lemon zest
• ½ cup salted butter, cut into pieces
Instructions:
Whisk sugar, lemon juice, eggs, yolks, and zest. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in butter until smooth. Cool and store in fridge.
5️⃣ Strawberry Curd
Ingredients:
• 1 lb fresh strawberries
• ½ cup granulated sugar
• 1 Tbsp lemon juice
• 2 large eggs + 3 large egg yolks
• ½ cup salted butter
Instructions:
Blend strawberries, then cook with sugar, lemon juice, eggs, and yolks until thickened. Stir in butter off heat. Cool and refrigerate.
6️⃣ Cinnamon Butter
Ingredients:
• 1 cup salted sweet cream butter, room temperature
• ⅓ cup powdered sugar
• 2 Tbsp honey
• ½ tsp ground cinnamon
• ¼ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Beat butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla. Mix until fluffy. Store in fridge or at room temp.
