This past weekend we had a blast at the Dust Covers Shoot & Fundraiser for at the Governors Gun Club. Teams took part in an epic competition shoot along side Green Berets and helped raise funds benefiting my favorite non profit, Second Chance K9. Teams competed in pistol, PCC, rifle and shotgun, followed by dinner together and a toast to our Special Forces Soldiers. Awards were presented, sang live music for everyone, and we heard some incredible stories of how these dogs have saved lives not just on the battlefield, but here at home. More to follow. Huge thanks to the participants, and everyone who made this event possible. Second Chance K9 is a rescue organization that pairs high drive rescue dogs (Belgian Malinois) with Special Operations Veterans who suffer from PTSD or TBI. This very focused program places dogs who thrive on having a job, with veterans who desperately need a purpose. Founded by Special Forces Veteran and former Special Forces dog handler Travis Hall, Second Chance K9 has evolved from Hall’s own experience with Bear, a dog who was deployed four times to Iraq. Your tax-deductible donation to Second Chance K9 could be the key to saving not one, but two lives. Visit www.secondchancek9.com
