Systemic issues such as media bias, policy inequities, and institutional failures persist in modern Olympic sport. Although female athletes are achieving more than ever before, they are still operating within systems that have not fully adapted to support them equally.

The () hosted its first South Asian Night on March 30th, 2026 during their game against the , acting as a step forward for the organization as it aims to strengthen its bond with different groups of the North Texas community at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. More than just a themed game, the night was an effort to be more inclusive to the fanbase that supports the team.

“I took it upon myself to make a difference,” Yannis Shafi, Business Development Manager for the Mavericks and co-lead of the organization’s AAPI ERG explained. “I wanted to include all these different cultures and regions and areas of the world that we previously didn’t get involved in.”

NYC-born rock band Quarters () have unveiled their latest music video “STAR,” starring Avantika (), best known for “Mean Girls” and the upcoming Mindy Kaling Hulu series “NSFW,” signaling a bold new era for the fast-rising band signed to Warner Music Group.

The “STAR” music video, released today, reunites Quarters with Avantika after their viral “Street Hearts” partnership.

​“I love these boys! Was so thrilled when I was asked to be a part of this,” Avantika commented, emphasizing the creative partnership that brings fresh meaning to Quarters’ new work.

“STAR” serves as a preview of Quarters’ third studio album, slated for release in March 2026, featuring collaborations with acclaimed producers Imad Royal, David Bottrill, and Aldn. The band will support the album with a world tour, including two headline nights at NYC’s Irving Plaza, marking a major milestone in their career.
