ARLINGTON, Texas (December 19, 2025) – The Arlington Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting incident that resulted in the death of a 33-year-old man.
On Friday, December 19, 2025, at approximately 1:50 a.m., officers responded to a bar in the 1000 block of NE Green Oaks Boulevard to investigate a reported shooting. When they arrived on scene, they found the 33-year-old man lying unresponsive on the ground outside with multiple apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Witnesses told officers the shooter was in a vehicle in the parking lot. Officers located the vehicle and quickly detained the driver, who was identified as 31-year-old Daniel Munoz. A gun was recovered in the back seat of the vehicle.
Multiple witnesses told officers Mr. Munoz and the victim got into a verbal argument outside that escalated and ended with Mr. Munoz firing multiple shots at the victim. Mr. Munoz claimed he acted in self-defense.
Mr. Munoz was taken into custody and initially charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon for bringing a firearm into a bar. After further investigation, and in consultation with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, Homicide detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest on one count of Murder.
A woman who was the in the vehicle with him, 32-year-old Karina Fuentes, was also arrested and charged with Interference with Public Duties, related to her actions while officers attempted to detain Mr. Munoz.
Mr. Munoz and Ms. Fuentes were booked into the Arlington City Jail. Their booking photos are attached to this news release.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the victim.
