On July 5, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard liberated Slovyansk from Russian militants and terrorists.

This video was made few days before the operation.

The Ukrainian flag was hoisted over the city, which the occupiers considered their impregnable fortress.

Fierce battles for the cities of Donetsk region, lasted several months in the summer of 2014. It was then, almost for the first time, that the Ukrainian military encountered sabotage groups of regular Russian troops. And the enemy could not stay here for long.

Together with Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, and Kostiantynivka were liberated by the heroic efforts of the Ukrainian military. The cleansing of these cities was of great symbolic significance. These were the first victories of the Ukrainian counteroffensive. This was a turning point in the liberation of the occupied districts of Donetsk and Luhansk and the return of people to normal life. We vacated most of the edge.

We are proud of the courage and bravery of the Ukrainian military. We remember that during the liberation of Ukrainian cities and towns, soldiers and officers of the 79th and 95th airmobile brigades, the 25th and 80th airborne brigades and a special detachment were especially noted. Glory to heroes!

Today I saw a neighbor's girl - she was filming shelling from the window. She is not afraid because she has a home; she has something to stand for.
And me? Am I not scared? No.

Страха - больше нет

Только сердце стучит.

Страх - это только мысль в голове.

Атаковали мой город, разбили дорогу, разрушили храм…
Нас не запугать, как бы не хотели, сколько бы не кричали, не говорили как жить, не убивали мою мечту.
Даже если весь мир против нас, даже если кажется что все сейчас рухнет.
Страха больше нет.
Мои стены крепки, их не сломать.
Моя крепость во мне, в нас, в людях вокруг и в верных друзьях.
Нас не разделить.
Слишком красивая была мечта — мир, чистое небо над головой.
Всем людям нужна свобода.
Но не бывает такой свободы когда падают бомбы, когда приходят в твой дом.
Не отступай! Это всего лишь гарь.
Сегодня я видел соседскую девченку — снимала обстрелы из окна. Она не боиться, ведь у нее есть дом, есть за что стоять.
А что я? Мне разве не страшно? Нет.
Страха больше нет.

Только сердце стучит.

Страх - это только мысль в голове.

Атаковали мой город, разбили дорогу, разрушили храм…
Нас не запугать, как бы не хотели, сколько бы не кричали, не говорили как жить, не убивали мою мечту.
Даже если весь мир против нас, даже если кажется что все сейчас рухнет.
Страха больше нет.
