*From Khelo India Centre to National Stage —Baramulla Girls Make J&K Proud*

Baramulla, J&K: Two talented young players from Baramulla Mehnaaz Manzoor and Ishrat Jan have earned selection to represent Jammu & Kashmir in the Under-19 Girls School National Hockey Championship, scheduled to be held in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
Both athletes train at the Khelo India Hockey Centre, Baramulla, where they have consistently demonstrated discipline, determination, and outstanding performance on the field.
Extending their congratulations, the Khelo India authorities and the J&K Sports Council wished the duo success in the tournament, appreciating their hard work and the guidance provided by coaches and support staff.
“This selection reflects the growing sports ecosystem in Jammu & Kashmir and the rising talent among young girls. We are confident Mehnaaz and Ishrat will showcase their best and inspire many others,” officials said.
Their achievement is being celebrated across the district and is expected to motivate more youth especially girls to actively participate in sports and pursue competitive excellence.
