Today, the Roanoke Star is a symbol of remembrance. ⭐️🇺🇸
I was 10 years old when 9/11 happened. I remember the fear. I remember seeing adults scared and not fully understanding why. But I also remember what came after.
People came together. Neighbors looked out for neighbors. Differences suddenly didn’t seem quite as important. In a moment of unimaginable tragedy, there was a sense that we were all in this together.
25 years later, I hope that part of the story still echoes. 🫶
