We are proud to announce our partnership with attorney, author, advocate, educator, and former gymnast, Rachael Denhollander, to produce the feature film, What is a Girl Worth? game1 has approached Janine Eser to adapt this memoir into a screenplay. 

What is a Girl Worth? is a feature film based on Rachael Denhollander who was one of a few hundred women who fell victim to the acts of the diabolical team doctor for USA gymnastics, Larry Nassar. While others were left paralyzed by the acts of Larry Nassar, Denhollander used her anguish to become the first person to speak out against her abuse. As a result, Denhollander inspired over 200 women - including Olympic gold medalists - to come forward as survivors of Nassar’s abuse. In the end, she was responsible for igniting a case that resulted in over $880M in settlements for the survivors and a life imprisonment sentence for Larry Nassar. Ultimately, this film will follow the life of Rachael Denhollander, recounting her life up to meeting Nassar, his abuse of her, the confusion and pain she experienced as a result of her abuse, and the subsequent fight to bring Nassar to justice for his serial abuse of young women and girls who sought medical care.

As game1’s content partnerships begin to grow, so does our team! We are beyond thrilled to welcome Ben Bitonti to the game1 family as Chief Creative Officer & Head of Unscripted Programming. 

Bitonti joins from Yellowstone producer 101 Studios, where he was EVP of Non-Fiction Television and Alternate Programming. Prior to 101, Bitonti was SVP of Development for STX Entertainment, where he developed and executive produced projects such as HBO Max’s Fboy Island. He’s also executive produced and developed for partners such as Netflix, NatGeo, Amazon, E!, and A&E. Bitonti is the perfect addition to the game1 team and we can’t wait to see how he transforms the company.
