Deep sorrow has engulfed Nambilima village in Lugari after the heartbreaking murd£r of Faith Kiliswa, a bright 4th-year student at Alupe University, by her boyfriend inside a lodging.
Faith, who was still grieving the recent loss of her mother just a month ago, has now been silenced in the most tragic way.
On September 16, Faith reportedly checked into Mbande Guest House in Matete with her boyfriend, Dubicuss Wafula.
According to police investigations, hours after the two had been intimate, an argument ensued and Wafula allegedly stabb£d Faith multiple times, ending her young life in cold blood.
After committing the heinous act, the suspect fled the scene, sparking a frantic manhunt. He was later arrested in Muhoroni, Kisumu County, as he attempted to travel to Nairobi. He now remains in police custody as investigations continue.
The news has devastated family, friends and fellow students, who describe Faith as a hardworking and hopeful young woman with dreams of completing her studies and building a better life.
For her community, the pain is unbearable, burying her mother only weeks ago, only to now prepare for Faith’s burial.
Her death has also reignited conversations about gender-based violence and the alarming rise in cases where intimate relationships end in violence.
For Nambilima village and the Alupe University fraternity, Faith’s memory will be a painful reminder of the urgent need for justice and protection for young women.
May her soul Rest In Peace 💔🕊️
