Pete here with a long range post..

we will cool down to seasonal to just below seasonal levels after Wednesday. However.... by mid next week, we will see the temperatures swing back up to much above normal again. Perhaps not to record highs, but that cannot be ruled out. Mid 60's? A westward moving typhoon over the philippines into Korea and China normally teleconnects to an eastern ridge of high pressure in the 7-10 period and that's what the maps show below. The first one is of the forecasted typhoon moving westward.. and the other 3 are of the euro, canadian and american forecast models on Friday November 20th show a nearly coast to coast ridge and westerly winds bringing in warm air for us.

MONTHLY WEATHER OUTLOOK, NOVEMBER:

I believe after the cold snap we will experience tonight and tomorrow, we will rebound to normal, and then above normal, and stay close to normal to above normal most of the month of November. However, remember that the normals temperature wise are falling on nearly a daily rate. I also believe as we get to after November 20th, I believe the pattern will change to a colder pattern, but the colder pattern, will NOT overtake the positives that already built up. So overall, we are looking at above normal temperatures.

We are also looking at below normal precipitation, so the drought conditions will worsen a bit over PA as well.

Temps: +1 to +2.5 above normal for the month.
Precip: -0.75 to -1.25" below normal

NO WINTER OUTLOOK this year. I will continue to do monthly outlooks. The images below are the CFSv2 and the Euro monthlies. They both agree to this outlook.
