Studio 822 has got their raffle table set up. Come through, catch a little music from Braydon Watts, grab a cool pop, and help out!
Open at 11a. Cool out. Not cold. Cool. Patio weather, for sure. Hit up Downtown Ruston, and come see us.
Bike night tonight, with live music from Braydon Watts and sparkling conversation with the brothers of the CMC. Also, Studio 822 will be in the house selling raffle tickets to benefit Ida victims in Barataria & Jean Lafitte. Kicks off at 6p. No cover.
We're starting to fill in the music calendar. Hidden Tracks this Friday (9p, $5), The Waymores and Skunkweed Juju in October, Emily Davis and Dauzat St. Marie in November, and more as we get them. Gonna be a fun fall.
Our friends at Studio 822 will be here TODAY at 5p, selling raffle tickets to benefit the folks in Barataria and Jean Lafitte who lost so much to hurricane Ida.
Get out. Help out. Together, we will see it through.
Thank you JT Liner for a great job on our sound tonight for Smackwater!
Zeb Payne’s going live on Studio 822’s instagram tonight at 9:00p.

Good afternoon, Ruston, Louisiana! Thanks to everyone for coming out last week to see Patty & Patterson (so good!), hangout before & after ARToberfest and all the local football games!
This week:
Wednesday, join Mason Howard on the Patio for a broad cross-section of covers (Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Counting Crows, Goo Goo Dolls, etc.), some of Mason's originals, and lots of blues. Music 6 til 9, no cover.
Thursday, get to Downtown Ruston by 6:00p to see (or participate in) the first annual Ruston Witches Ride. This is a fun bike ride (or walk) around town featuring decorated bikes, costumes, and throws. Donations collected will be given directly to 4 PAWS Rescue, INC. and Ruston Animal Control.
Friday, come surf the Sea of Tranquility and scale the mountains of Mars with Twang Darkly here at the Sundown. Experience instrumental outer space country surf music played on homemade instruments. Music at 10, $5 cover.
Saturday, check out the Ruston Farmers Market and the 2019 Fall Ruston Makers Fair, then come see us, because the Sundown Tavern & Studio 822 are doin' it for the Cheese! Starting at 3:00p, we'll be hosting a benefit for our old friend Colby, who was in a pretty gruesome car accident a little over a month ago. There'll be a silent auction, jambalaya, and music from Monty Russell, Jade Reynolds, Jenn Janét, Ben Collinsworth, Jim Reed, West We Go, Bethany Raybourn, The Bluesaholics, Trey Gauthreaux & his Band of Gypsies, and Zeb Payne! $7 suggested donation. Proceeds will go toward Colby's medical & automotive expenses.
Gonna be a good time for a good guy.
Get out, give back, and Experience Ruston!

TL;DR
While we have a moment to catch our breath, we'd like to thank everyone that made our Monday night show a possibility. First, the bands: Lulu and the Black Sheep and Sarah Shook & The Disarmers. These two outfits, both fronted by badass women that leave nothing on the table, are out there every night, working hard for the folks that come to see them, even on a random night in Ruston, Louisiana.
After the bands, the people behind the bands: Bloodshot Records, RedKats Artist Management, and Crossover Touring. Doing business is not always a pleasure, but these folks made it pretty darn easy.
Then come the people that helped us out on the ground: Jake Dugard (what a poster!), McKenney & Monty at The Roadhouse Show, Tim & Desi at Grown and Grazed, Carlyn & the staff at Best Western Plus Ruston Hotel, Debbie at Gibson's Fresh Grocer, and sound guy extraordinaire, J.T. Liner at Studio 822.
Next, our Sundown Tavern staff: Whether behind the bar, in the kitchen, or on the floor, these folks make sure the talent's taken care of while still going about their day to day work.
Finally, and most importantly, you, the people that came out. Without your willingness to get out on a Monday (any night, really), we couldn't have done it at all.
Thank you. Let's do it again sometime.
