We end our River Walk sculpture tour with Wind in the Waves by Chris Plaisted, featuring a Shot Tower cameo in the background. Time continues to flow, and so does the wind blow and the waves billow. This is "The Pollinator" by Kirk Seese. Any sculpture with a kayak is a great fit for the River Walk. Still, there's a bit of dualism in this sculpture. The highlighter green kayak mimics the plant life that a butterfly would normally pollinate, preventing the natural symbiotic relationships between butterflies and plants . However, without this man-made kayak, the butterfly would have nowhere to rest its wings.

We typically review beers in the Frosted Glass, but we’re changing things up a bit this time and covering a cider. With the fall weather setting in, ciders are becoming more prevalent on brewery menus. Still, despite being featured at craft breweries and commonly served in bottles and cans, cider is actually more similar to wine than beer.

This River Walk sculpture is titled "Lupine" by Tim Adams. Lupine can be associated with wolves, but it can also correspond to a genus of flowering plants known for their tall, cone-shaped spikes of flowers. No points for guessing that this is a sculpture of the second definition.

Homage to L'Homme Qui Marche by John Merigan is now on display at the Mississippi River Walk. If you didn't take high school French, "L'Homme Qui Marche" translates to "The Walking Man". Maybe he's strolling in for a beer at the Star Brewery?
