It's National Hard Candy Day. Got to thinking about root beer barrel hard candy. Haven't had one since I was a kid. Well, they are still around! Didn't even remember they were called "Dad's Root Beer" candy. These smelled as good as they tasted. Other tasty hard candy:

Actor Gil Gerard has died at the age of 82. Dude was Buck Rogers from '79 to '81. Can't believe we only got 2 seasons of this one. Any kids back then remember how sweet that show was.
