After our final campaign rally in Maracha district yesterday evening, we visited the relatives and clan leaders of my Deputy President for Northern Uganda, Dr. Lina Zedriga.

They have defied the teargas, the pepper spray, the police brutality and threats just to be part of our message for change. The people of Arua are the true definition of what the Protest Vote means. These comrades accompanied us through the dusty roads, under the scorching sun, braving long distances. We afterwards gathered at Barifa stadium where we delivered our message of liberation.

Arua is so dear to me. It is the place where I survived the first state orchestrated assassination attempt on my life. My driver and brother Yasin Kawuuma was killed right here. We will ensure that justice is served for victims of this particular tragedy. Thank you ARUA. Awadifo West Nile.
