Minnesota has a lot of Dolly Parton memories.

We've been celebrating Dolly's life this morning, playing her biggest songs and sharing some of the tributes pouring in.

But did you know Dolly performed at the Minnesota State Fair FOUR different times?

And her final Minnesota State Fair appearance in 1993 — a sold-out show.

There's even some incredible old footage of Dolly performing at the Fair.

And her Minnesota legacy goes way beyond music. Through Dolly's Imagination Library, 1.7 MILLION books have been sent to Minnesota children since 2005.

That's the thing about Dolly. She didn't just make music. She made people feel good.

A beloved singer, songwriter, philanthropist, actress, playwright, and author died peacefully today in Nashville, Tennessee (August 25th). She was 80 years old.
Per a statement released by her team, at Dolly's request, a private service will be held for immediate family.
The Queen of Country is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Carl Thomas Dean (1942 – 2025), her mother Avie Lee Caroline Owens (1923 – 2003), and father, Robert Lee Parton, Sr. (1921 – 2000).
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library at www.imaginationlibrary.com.
