A few weeks ago I spent some quiet time on a shoot along Cascade Creek, right next to Cascade Lodge and Restaurant. Starting at the stream level, moving up across the rocks, and back again
- the light, the water, the textures — it felt like a mini reset for the week.

There's something about these small, moving details that remind me why I love capturing Northern Minnesota: the sights, the sounds, and the calm moments tucked into our landscape.

Sunday Night Done Right 🍜✨

After a long week, we ended up at one of our favorite Lincoln Park spots — Bali Asian Cuisine. The owner, Nevi (who learned to cook from her mother and grandmother), opened Minnesota’s first Indonesian restaurant — and we’re so lucky it’s right here in Duluth! 🙌 Her Asian fusion menu brings the kind of magical flavor Northern Minnesota needed!

Bulgogi Beef Spring Rolls, Honey Garlic Chicken Rice Bowl, and a couple cocktails later (Dark & Stormy + Chocolate Martini 🍸) — perfection. Thank you Bali Asian Cuisine for a perfect family night out!

Some projects just click.

This one was part art, part puzzle — layering dozens of farm-inspired icons to create an artful representation of the client’s logo. 🌾

Each piece tells part of a farmers' story: grain, soybeans, corn, the people, the tools behind it all, and more. Lowry Manufacturing Co. is an important, and valued part of this story. They create jobs, and create amazing product, right in Lowry, Minnesota.

I worked with Lowry to put a creative twist on their logo shape. A reimagined, reversed-out design built for future projects still under wraps. 😉

This kind of project is my favorite — the kind that lets me get lost in the details, and build something completely unique. Big thanks to Lowry Manufacturing Co. for this fun project!

Fall color. Cozy Cabins. North Shore perfection. 🍂

From the creek to the shoreline, Cascade Lodge and Restaurant is one of those places that just FEELS right this time of year. Warm rooms and cabins, golden leaves, and that quiet calm that makes you slow down and take it all in.

We had such a great time capturing these spaces and scenes for their stunning stays - there’s truly something magical about Cascade Lodge and Restaurant in the fall.
