Lake Superior BNI - July Recognition!

At BNI, Recognition is an essential Core Value because it motivates our members, fosters a positive culture, and encourages mutual support. This past month, we celebrated these exceptional contributors:

- Dawn Jensch has been a member of the Lake Superior Chapter for 23 years. She has been a strong advocate of our chapter, had many roles, and mentored new members. We wish her well as she transitions to her new role as Grandma.

- Alex Schult for planning a wonderful evening for the Spring Fling

- Cole Fechner for recognizing that our timekeeper wasn’t present and stepping into the role.

- Our amazing and talented Education Team. This group has done a wonderful job giving us top notch education pieces each week. They add value to our meetings and you’re sure to learn something new. Thank you for working together as a team to help us learn and grow.

Their dedication shows that when we celebrate and acknowledge each other, we all grow stronger. Keep up the excellent work, everyone!

If your answer was yes to either, especially if it was yes to both, we would love to invite you to the Lake Superior BNI Visitor Day TOMORROW morning @ 6:45 am!

You will get the chance to meet around 50 local business professional's and hear more about how BNI helps businesses grow. Most importantly, you will get to share about yourself and the business you represent during your 45 second commercial! This is a great way to ask for specific referrals, give general industry updates, ask for a warm introduction, and more.

Our presenters will be Tanner Nickerson from Old Saw Media and Tim Aldridge from Audio Systems. These 7 minute presentations by our members are another key benefit of BNI!

Lake Superior BNI - 1:1 Highlight of the Week

Nikki from Metamorphosis CCT asked if we could share some photos to go with the 1:1 stories, so her's was naturally chosen as the highlight this week.

Although this might not have been taken at a 1:1... BNI and the ability to create new relationships is how all of these folks ended up hanging out at a Chamber event and even snagging a photo! We love seeing their energized personalities shining bright together.

The chance to develop in-depth understandings of one another’s core competencies is a major distinction of BNI. One-to-Ones's (1:1) are able to accomplish this connection beyond what group meetings can provide.

Shelly will be giving us a run down of the numerous services she and her team at the clinic can provide. We'll get to learn more in depth about each one and maybe even hear about how lasers are often used in her aesthetics work. Tim is going to run us through a glimpse of his background and then dive right into insights on Commercial Insurance coverage. Rumor has it there may be even be some questions at the end! Both presentations will be a great way for us to learn more about our chapter members and how we can best pass referrals their way.

Lake Superior BNI - 1:1 Highlight of the Week

"One day when our crew were on set I set up a 1:1 with Mike Smisek. He invited me over to his new office before the grand opening. As he showed me around, I noticed his music studio and ended up jamming together. I was on drums and Mike on guitar and for the first time jamming together, it sounded great! It was just refreshing to discuss our mutual interest in music rather than business."
