First Day at New Schools for both Mroue Boys!

Cam’s 1st day, in a Nutshell:

Whined and whimpered on the way to school;
Then skipped inside without saying goodbye. 😕
I picked him up later with a big smile oh his face followed by a grave accident report: “swing collision”.

I asked what happened, and he said “the other kid wasn’t looking where he was going;” (to which I asked, “so you were on the swing and you just couldn’t stop due to momentum?” And he said “NO! That kid was!” (On the swing). lol 😂

Lenny’s 1st Day, In a Nutshell:

Clutched mommy in sheer terror, with every limb and appendage. After which, I realized I totally forgot to give them baths and trim their fingernails last night, because I was too busy making sure their outfits and backpacks were appropriate. (Fingernail marks in arms). Total tears and meltdown when I left.

At pickup, it was reported Lenny calmed down and got used to new faces, but refused to take his jacket off all day including naptime- he thought he wasn’t staying too long lol. He barely slept at nap, but instead sang every verse of Old McDonald, including all animals noises.

All is well that ends well!

2023 has been a tremendous year of GROWTH in so many ways~ personally, professionally, and credentially. I became a licensed Early Childhood Educator, refreshed a National Real Estate Pricing Strategy Advisor designation, earned CPR + First Aid certifications, and renewed my real estate license in 2 states.

Despite the fluctuating market and economic uncertainty, I also achieved my “highest and best” year in real estate, going into year 10 of being licensed! 😉 I couldn’t have done it all without the loving and patient support of my husband, parents, close family, friends, and clients!

Perhaps one of my biggest take-always this year is that GROWTH is measured most heartfully, and quite literally, in the growing personalities and sizes of my children. Because it was such a busy year, I’ve decided to slow down and watch them grow at home with us, for the first part of 2024.

We move to Duluth next weekend and I can’t wait to recreate my Early Childhood skills into a home setting; I’ll be teaching and snuggling these guys more intentionally and often at our new homestead! 2024- we are ready for you! Happy New Year, y’all~
