As we reflect on the 2026 Demonettes softball season, we are reminded of so many great memories.
The loss yesterday does not reflect who this team is or what they have been all season long. This group was special. From nearly having a perfect season to leading the country in home runs, these girls gave Dumas something we will never forget.
A lot of seniors graduated this week and will now go on to follow their own paths, but Dumas will always remember what they brought to this community. These young women have inspired the next generation of softball players, as well as so many people across the Panhandle.
To the youth and travel ball parents who started these girls in T-ball years ago: congratulations, y’all did it.
To the Dumas coaches who sacrificed time at home and spent countless hours pouring into these girls: congratulations, it paid off.
Great job, ladies. We are all so proud of you and have no doubt that each of you will be successful in life. You have already shown what you are willing to do to be the best.
Thank you, Demonettes, for an unforgettable season.
