Thrifted this vintage teak chair for only $6 😱

I cleaned, sanded, and applied teak oil to bring the wood back to life. I repaired a few tears and conditioned the leather. This chair is now ready for a new life!

| Resetting our family routine for the new school year!

Every year when school starts back up, staying on top of everyone’s schedule feels like a full-time job in itself. Adding the Hearth Display to our home has completely transformed the flow of our days. Having a centralized hub where the kids can visually see their daily flow has taken so much off my plate.

Between managing meals, tracking field trips, running a business and keeping up with daily to-dos, having everything synced in one spot gives our household so much breathing room. It even transitions into a cute digital frame for our family photos when we’re done with the school day.

If you’re looking to bring a little extra peace and structure to your family’s daily rhythm this year, you can use code CHRISTINAMIMM for 20% off!

# AD Free furniture finds are my absolute favorite… but the mess they leave behind while I’m working? Not so much...

The Dreame Global D30 Ultra CE keeps up with it all while I work, homeschool, and tackle projects around the house. From scrubbing up fine sawdust to automatically lifting its mop pads on rugs, then self-cleaning at the dock with 100 days of hands-free dust collection. I literally hit start and forget about it.

Don’t miss the special offer!

I was given this entire set completely for free after the previous owner spent two full years trying to sell it.

I knew it had incredible potential, but it definitely needed some love. To give it a modern, elevated look, I sprayed the main frame in a custom blend of dark green and black paint for a deep, rich finish. For the wood, I stripped away the heavy old finish and applied a light paint wash to soften the tone letting that beautiful, intricate burl grain take center stage.

I’m so happy I took a chance on a set nobody wanted! What do you think, will it finally find a home now? Let me know in the comments!

| I couldn’t pass up these vintage teak bowls at the thrift store, but they definitely needed a refresh before I could actually use them.

After cleaning with warm soapy water and a light sand, I oiled them down with Organic Cutting Board Oil. I love that it’s 100% plant-based and food-safe with no petroleum, and no worrying about it going rancid like regular kitchen oils can over time. It completely brought these bowls back to life, giving them many more years of use!

Easily one of the most satisfying before-and-afters I’ve done! Proof that you should NEVER judge a piece by its terrible paint job! Would you have taken on this project??

I get asked all the time if I actually use the wooden bowls I thrift, and the answer is YES! I use almost every single one. And if I find one I don’t need, I’ll always try to find someone who will love it 🤎

Found this vintage Copco teak tray hiding under years of grime and dullness at the thrift store. With a little deep cleaning, light sanding, and a fresh coat of oil, that gorgeous grain completely came back to life! Would you have thrifted or passed on this piece?

I saw this vintage Eames style footstool from across the thrift store and couldn’t believe it was only $3.99! I was hoping the matching chair was nearby, but after searching the whole store, I couldn’t find it. 😭 An Eames chair has always been on my thrifting bucket list!
