Dry core through 1¼" granite in 15 seconds 🤘

We've got a 1/4" diamond core drill bit from the same company that we've been abusing for a few months and it's still getting the job done 👍

The beam that wouldn't quit. Amazing what a few nails can do. And how much trouble it can cause you 😅

This 8"x10" solid dimensional beam was old growth. Counted about 150 years, the house is a '58 build, so it was probably planted in the late 1700s, early 1800s. Super cool!

This beam could eat a chainsaw blade without chewing 😩😮‍💨 the subfloor joints were all aptly on top of this, and nailed like the nails were about to expire and they had to use em. Original finished oak on top, so it was a delicate deconstruction. Instead of being upset at this task taking more time and effort than planned, it's better to feel appreciation for the tradesman that built this place to last 👌

My first time using a powered caulking gun 🔫

Gotta say, it was pretty slick. Decent control for the speed, smooth plunge, and minimal drip after releasing the trigger.

We lay Kerdifix between the shower boards. Why? Because why not lol. Is it necessary? Not at all. Does it get waterproofed? Yup. Does having a belt-and-suspenders help me sleep at night? Figuratively, yes 😅

Conclusion: I'll take a power caulk over a hand squozen caulk any day of the week.

She's mint! 😆 This is one of those situations where you don't ask if you can, you ask if you should🤷🏻

Sometimes the only place that makes sense for your switch/plug even plumbing will be inside a pocket door wall but there's ways to do it properly! This is NOT the right way 😬

We run into this issue often in bathroom renovations as your very limited on space, what we do when the situation arises is add a secondary wall. We'll build a wall infront of the pocket door wall so you have a full cavity to run any plumbing or electrical without interfering with your pocket door assembly👌

Now be honest, have you ever done something like this? Have you ever been tempted?👀

Have you ever had to patch plaster board?

When looking at this cross section of an old wall covering, you can see the huge variance from one spot to another. This makes it very challenging to repair or match up to in the context of a repair or partial deconstruction or demolition of a room.

Typically, if more than a small patch is needed on a project, you'll get a better and more true appearance by replacing the entirety of the wall.
