OpenAI’s newest model, GPT-6, codename Astra may change how we interact with AI in general. Normally, you have a session and you communicate in one session at a time. Sure, you can use agents, but in a normal interaction, you are dealing with one session at a time and having a complete tasks. If you want to complete more tasks at the same time, you have to set up agents and then toggle back-and-forth between them to issue commands or respond to something that they said.
Now, with Astra, you can easily have it performed tasks, such as drawing, modeling, creating presentations or documents, and in the middle of it doing that, you could ask it to set up a reservation or find some other piece of information.
In this video, you can watch as people talk to it normally, asking it to perform tasks which it will easily do, switching between applications or doing things in the background while it does something else. Before you know it, we won’t have agents, you’ll just have one interface that you communicate with, and you will have it do all sorts of things without the need to configure agents or additional workflows or use skills or any of that. It can easily do things on the fly as it’s working on something else.
The possibilities seem endless.
What do you think? Does the technology scare you? Are you worried about what I can do and what it will do?
