🎉 Thank you to all the HR professionals and real estate agents who joined us for the North County Live CHQ Luncheon!
Workshop presenters included Mark Geise, Deputy County Executive & CEO of the CCIDA; Jason Sample, Marketing & Communications Coordinator for CCIDA/CCPEG; and Monica Simpson, Partner Engagement Coordinator for CCPEG.

We loved hearing from Brooks Hospital, who shared how they’ve used Live CHQ materials since the campaign launched in April 2024 — helping them successfully recruit 19 new providers! 👏

It’s exciting to see the Live CHQ campaign in action, supporting employers who are hiring and helping new professionals discover all our region has to offer.

A South County Live CHQ Luncheon for employers is scheduled for Nov. 5 and limited seating is still available. To learn more or register, contact Monica Simpson at [email protected]

Village of Sherman, NY is Continuing to Update & Improve its Public Spaces!

The village recently updated CCPEG on the progress of the Rosie Billquist Trailhead. The parking lot off of Franklin St. (bottom right of photo) has been graded and finished with blacktop. The village is now coordinating the painting of the parking space!

Earlier this year, CCPEG provided $20,000 toward the project, which was used to better define and expand public parking in the business district, adjacent to the Chautauqua Rails to Trails' Rosie Billquist Trailhead and French Creek. The enhanced parking area will include 24 striped parking stalls within a new 0.25-acre paved parking lot to make access to the trail, along with the downtown businesses and attractions, easier and more convenient for visitors!

Village Streets Dept thanks CHQ County Highway Dept for painting Church & Miller Streets. BE ADVISED: Next week parking spaces and crosswalks will be painted in coordination with Legend Excavating. There may be temporary restrictions to parking while the paint is applied and set.

About Us

The Chautauqua County Partnership for Economic Growth (CCPEG) represents a new way of doing business in Chautauqua County. The Partnership will bring together a host of economic development partners to serve as a single point of contact for prospective residents, businesses, developers, and site selectors.

Chautauqua County Executive George Borrello resolved in 2018 that prior to preparing a new economic development strategy, a comprehensive analysis of the way economic development activities were being conducted throughout Chautauqua County was needed. Camoin Associates was commissioned to assist the County to evaluate the situation and develop actionable recommendations to help change behaviors, coordinate actions, and open-up new possibilities for advancing countywide economic prosperity. As a result of these efforts, CCPEG was created with a goal of promoting the coordination of a multitude of partners working to advance economic development.
