Most state rooms have a slot in the light switch for you to put your key into to turn on the lights 💡

Raise your hand if you’ve left your key in the slot and then walked out your stateroom door? 🫣

Well next time you go on a cruise, take an empty gift card or big box membership card with you to put in the light switch slot.

This way, you have your room key with you at all times saving the embarrassment of asking a team member to let you back into your room 🤭

💜 Turns out I am becoming some sort of a local celebrity... 💜

So here’s the thing… most of my job as a travel advisor happens through texts, emails, and phone calls. I’m usually somewhere behind a screen planning vacations, answering questions, and putting together all the fun stuff that turns into your next trip.

But then I go out in the real world… and apparently the purple hair gives me away EVERY time. 😂

Because nothing beats hearing:

“HEY! YOU PLANNED MY VACATION!”

It always catches me off guard in the best way 🤩

There’s just something really cool about running into clients out and about, swapping stories about their trips, hearing what they loved, what they want to do next, and reliving those little travel moments with them.

So if you see a brightly purple-haired, tattooed, pixie-dusted human wandering around town… that’s probably me. 👋💜

School is officially done in Calvert County… and I just need to know WHO is excited?! 😄☀️

Kids are obviously over the moon like “BEST DAY EVER, NO MORE SCHOOL!” 🎉

But parents… be honest with me… are we excited for summer vacation or are we already mentally fast-forwarding to the first day of school next year? 😂

I'm team both LOL

But let’s chat for a moment… what do we have planned ?

There’s a moment I never get tired of witnessing in this business…

The shift from “someday…” to “we’re doing it.”

It usually starts quietly.

A trip someone has been thinking about for years 🌎
Saving it on Pinterest 📌
Talking about it with family 💭
Saying things like “one day when the timing is right…”

“Waiting for the right time?” ⏳

And then one day… something changes.

The message comes through:
“Okay… I think we’re finally ready.”

And from there, everything feels different 💜

We plan it. We build it. We bring it to life 🧳✨
And then comes the moment it’s officially booked.

That mix of excitement and relief is everything.

Like… this is really happening 😭✈️
The countdown becomes real. The dream has a date. The “someday” is no longer someday.

And honestly, that’s one of my favorite parts of what I do.

Not just planning trips—but helping people finally say yes to the things they’ve been putting off for years 💫

When you're picking out that adorable new swimsuit for vacation, don't just think about the style... think about the COLOR too!

Bright, vibrant colors are often much easier to spot underwater than darker shades, especially in lakes where visibility can be limited.

👀 That neon pink or bright yellow suit might not just look cute in your vacation photos—it could make someone easier to see in an emergency.

No swimsuit replaces close adult supervision, but every extra layer of safety matters.

Let me tell you about the rich creamy dreamy goodness of the Black Garlic, Truffle, and Parmesan Fries.

People sometimes think being a travel advisor is just booking vacation packages and planning itineraries 🧳📋

But for me, it’s something much bigger than that 🌎💫

It’s the journey of your excitement that I get to witness from start to finish 💕✨
