Believe it or not, this is legit! Did you know that since records began at each of these cities climate locations, Flint has recorded 37 more 100°F days then Tampa, FL?

Why, you may ask? This is due to the marine effect. Tampa is located near both a bay and the Gulf, allowing the nearby sea breeze to keep most days in a state that is hot 365 days a year, actually cooler instead. This same reasoning of a marine breeze is also why places such as Muskegon in Michigan have barely touched 100°F in their history as well. Flint is far enough inland from nearby Lake Huron to see minimal effects from any lake breezes during stretches of very hot weather.
