So, this is a 100-year-old trumpet I stole from my dad. The house is empty cause of some renovations and quite reverberant. I think the last bit of musical criticism I got from the guy was "that's not the melody", but I think that's a reasonable critique... cause it's not the melody.

So, my gigs this week. I'm doing a short set at the IAM music songwriter night which is Thursday from 8-10. Original songs that I like a lot.

And then the full band is going to play El Rancho on Friday the 5th from 9-12. It's a really great show, I think. I'm really enjoying it, at least.

Pretty frikkin stoked on these Schoeps... they are kind of the "high-end clinical" match to my AKG 414s, and I don't really think that there's much outside of a drumset I can't get sounding amazing between the two sets.
