Most agency owners think they’re ahead because they’re using AI.

They’re not.

Using AI to write emails faster or create content quicker doesn’t change your business.

It just helps you do the same work... faster.

The agencies that win over the next five years won’t be the ones with the best prompts.

They’ll be the ones that rebuild how their agency operates.

That’s why we created FORGE.

This isn’t another AI conference.

It’s a two-day implementation workshop where you’ll build:

• Your AI Agency Operating System
• A custom AI agent around your biggest bottleneck
• Documentation your team can use the moment you get home

No keynote speeches.

No endless note-taking.

Just 30 agency owners building the future of their agencies together.

If you’re serious about creating leverage instead of just increasing output, this is where it starts.

Early Bird pricing ends July 31.

Reserve your seat at ForgeYourAgencyAhead.ai before prices go up.

Everyone is talking about AI. Very few agency owners are actually building with it.
Your biggest competitor isn't using AI. They're rebuilding their agency around it.

That's exactly why we created FORGE.

This isn't another conference where you leave with a notebook full of ideas you'll never implement.

It's a two-day, hands-on workshop where you'll build an AI Operating System for your agency, create a custom AI agent to solve your biggest bottleneck, and leave with documentation your team can actually use.

No fluff.
No panels.
No endless slide decks.

Just 30 agency owners in a room building the future of their agencies together.
If you're still wondering how AI fits into your business, you're already behind.
It's time to stop experimenting and start building.

Early Bird pricing ends July 31. After that, prices go up.

There are only 30 seats available, and every attendee is vetted to make sure the room is filled with agency owners who are serious about building, sharing, and growing together.

Ready to future-proof your agency?

Visit ForgeYourAgencyAhead.ai and secure your seat before the Early Bird pricing disappears. See link in bio, DM us, comment below or copy the link above for more information.

Here is part two of our podcast episode with E2M CEO Brent Weaver - check it out.

If your agency is "AI-first," you're probably already behind.

Most agencies calling themselves "AI-first" are just doing the same work faster.
That's not transformation.

In this episode, Brent Weaver, CEO of E2M Solutions, breaks down the difference between an AI-first agency and a truly agentic agency.

The big takeaway?

AI shouldn't just make your existing team more efficient. It should force you to rethink how the work gets done in the first place.

We dive into:

• Why retrofitting AI into your existing org chart often fails
• How E2M is transforming a 400-person agency
• Why small, AI-native teams can drive bigger innovation
• How agents are already replacing parts of traditional agency workflows
• Why human judgment and strategic thinking are becoming MORE valuable
• The danger of letting AI do your thinking for you

The agencies that win won't be the ones using AI to produce more stuff.
They'll be the ones redesigning their businesses around what AI makes possible.
And the founders who maintain their ability to think, question, and create original ideas?

They'll have the real competitive advantage.

Most people know me as the agency guy and the Rocky Mountains guy.

What most people don’t know...

One of my biggest passions is deep sea fishing.

It’s been a family tradition for generations, and some of my favorite memories have been made on the water.

In fact, while you’re reading this, I’m out in the Gulf of Mexico with some of my childhood friends for another Epic Friday adventure.

A few years ago, taking a trip like this would’ve meant constantly checking my phone, answering Slack messages, and worrying about what was happening back at the agency.

Not anymore.

The freedom to unplug didn’t happen by accident.

It happened because I built systems, developed leaders, and stopped making myself the center of every decision.

That’s the entire message behind Operator to Owner Evolution.

Success isn’t just about building a bigger agency.

It’s about building a business that gives you the freedom to enjoy the people and experiences that matter most.

What’s one passion outside of work that you’d make more time for if your business didn’t depend on you every day?

If you’re ready to build that kind of agency, search “Jason Swenk” on Amazon or check the link in my bio.

I sold my agency.

And looking back, there are a few things I would’ve done VERY differently.

The biggest lesson?

You don’t start preparing to sell your agency when you’re ready to sell.

You start years before.

Because buyers aren’t looking to buy a business where the founder is still:

Closing every deal.

Managing key client relationships.

Making every important decision.

Putting out every fire.

They’re looking for an asset that can grow without you.

If I could do it again, I’d remove myself sooner, build my leadership team earlier, and start thinking about the exit long before I actually wanted one.

Even if you have ZERO plans to sell your agency today, build it like you will.

Why?

Because a sellable agency is usually a better agency.

Better systems.

Better leadership.

More predictable revenue.

Less founder dependency.

And more freedom.

Build the agency someone else would want to buy.

You might just realize it’s the agency you’ve always wanted to own.

Being the hardest-working person in your agency is NOT something to brag about.

Your low overhead might be the reason your agency isn’t growing.

Running lean feels smart… until YOU become the bottleneck.

Three truths.

🎙️ In this Smartagency Masterclass episode, Jason sits down with Billy Scott, founder of Grow Marketing, to talk about the transition many agency owners struggle to make:

Going from the person who does everything → to building an agency that can actually grow without you.

After spending seven years in door-to-door sales, Billy launched his digital marketing agency, ran it solo for three years, and is now working through the shift from Manager to Architect.

Jason and Billy break down:

👉 When low overhead becomes a growth ceiling
👉 Why hiring “another you” usually isn’t the answer
👉 How to document your sales process so someone else can actually execute it
👉 Why founder instinct can build an agency—but systems are what scale it
👉 How to stop being the person your team depends on to solve every problem
👉 What it takes to move from the Manager stage to the Architect stage

The big takeaway?

You don’t escape founder dependency by working harder.

You escape it by building systems that make your expertise repeatable.

If your agency still needs YOU in the room for everything to work… this episode is for you.

Anyone else in Colorado missing this right about now? I love summer in Colorado, but the wildfires and poor air quality put a damper on being outside.

With the wildfires filling the Colorado skies with smoke, I’ve been dreaming about crisp winter days, clean mountain air, and Epic Fridays like this one.

So yeah, we’re bringing this one back.
Backcountry skiing.

Fresh snow. No smoke. Just another Epic Friday in the Colorado mountains.
It might be the middle of summer, but watching this has me counting down the days until ski season.

Until then, stay safe out there and here’s to clearer skies and cleaner air coming soon.

Who else is ready for winter?

I know. Your team isn’t ready.

Your clients need you.

And you’ll build those systems when things “slow down.”

I’ve heard it all before.

The problem?

Those are the exact beliefs keeping you trapped as the operator.

Swipe for the 3 excuses I hear agency owners make all the time.

Your team doesn’t need to do everything exactly like you.

If you’re waiting for someone to deliver 100% of what you would, you’re going to be waiting a long time.

Give them ownership.

Let them get to 80%.

Then use the time you get back to actually lead the business.

If every client relationship depends on the founder, that’s not great customer service.

That’s founder dependency.

Your clients should trust your agency, your process, and your team.

Because the moment everything has to run through you, you’ve created a ceiling on growth.

Waiting until you’re overwhelmed to build systems is like waiting until your house is on fire to install the smoke detectors.

Build the systems now.

Create clear ownership.

Empower your leaders.

Get yourself out of the day-to-day before growth makes it even harder.

The goal isn’t to become more efficient at doing everything yourself.

It’s to build a business that can grow without you being involved in every decision.

That’s the evolution from operator to owner.

STOP TRYING TO HIRE YOUR WAY OUT OF A LEADERSHIP PROBLEM.

Your agency might not need another employee.

It might need a partner.

A more provocative alternative would be: "Your next great hire won't fix what's broken in your agency."

Most agency owners think they need to hire a better leader.

But what if the leadership gap in your agency can't be solved with another employee?

In this episode, I sit down with Josh Hanosh and Kevin Howe, co-founders of Three29, to unpack how they merged two successful agencies after years of friendship and peer mentoring.

But they didn't just shake hands and sign the paperwork.

They tested the partnership for EIGHT MONTHS before combining finances, equity, and legal structures.

Smart move.

Because a business partnership is a lot like a marriage. You probably want to know if you can live together before buying the house.

We dive into:

• Why a true leadership partner is different from a great employee
• How to test a partnership before making it official
• Why the first year after a merger may actually slow your growth
• How complementary strengths can make a partnership stronger
• Why Josh's background as a teacher made him a better agency leader
• Why great leadership teams need to tell visionary founders "not yet"

One of the biggest takeaways?

Great leadership isn't about having all the answers.

It's about surrounding yourself with people who challenge your thinking, protect the company's priorities, and have real ownership over the outcome.

Sometimes the person your agency needs isn't another hire.

It's the right partner.
