Now let’s meet Elton! Our Calm, Curious Gentleman with a Kid-Approved Heart!

Elton is a large, brown-and-white mixed breed with the soul of a wise old friend. He’s gentle, loyal, and loves kids — just ask the students from Escalante Middle School who recently came to meet him. They were so inspired, they wrote letters and even drew pictures celebrating this sweet, mellow boy.

Here’s what they had to say: “He listens. He stays calm, even around big groups. And he’s curious — walking around the room smelling things gently and peacefully.”

Elton is looking for a forever best friend — someone to stroll with, relax with, and love deeply. He’s calm, affectionate, and ready to bring peace and loyalty into your life.

Tomorrow, Friday, August 22, 2025 at 7:00 PM, the Durango Demons kick off their football season with a home opener against Montrose at Durango High School Stadium! Their season slate also includes a trip to Farmington on August 29 before returning home to face Piedra Vista on September 5

Annual Back to School Supply Drive presented by Sky Ute Casino Resort ! We Are at Office Depot in Durango today until 3pm, collecting school supplies for families in need! Come out and support the kids of the community! It all stays local and goes through La Plata Family Centers Coalition. We even have free balloon animals! Can't wait to see ya!
