Suspended from school at the time the incident happened for carrying a knife.
Yeah, that's Karmelo Anthony — he was suspended from Centennial High School for bringing a knife onto campus before the April 2025 track meet stabbing in Frisco, Texas. He still showed up to the event anyway, got into it with Austin Metcalf under the rival team's tent during a rain delay, and stabbed him once in the chest. Anthony claimed self-defense, but a jury convicted him of murder just yesterday and sentenced him to thirty-five years. The prior knife suspension came up a lot in coverage.
