Hello Everyone!

If you had submitted a paper to the Broad Street Scientific journal, please submit again. There was a glitch in the server, and as a result we lost all the papers that were submitted prior to today.

If you have not submitted a paper, YOU SHOULD! It's barely any work (for you lazy seniors) to upload your paper. If you would like to submit your paper, please do before 5 PM Friday. Just go to ww2.ncssm.edu/bss and click on the submissions tab. You can message me or any other BSS staff member if you need help.

Hello All,
We are pleased to announce the Broad Street Scientific Essay Contest. If you are interested, please submit an essay on any scientific topic that fascinates you. Possible topics could be the significance of the discovery of the Higgs Boson or necessary steps required in improving gene therapy. Details for requirements can be found on our website: http://www.ncssm.edu/bss/contest/index.html
The top essay(s) will be published in this year’s edition of the Broad Street Scientific, NCSSM’s research journal. Furthermore, we are happy to announce that the winner of this year’s competition will also receive an opportunity to interview Maya Ajmera, CEO of Society for Science & the Public (which conducts the Intel Science Competitions).
Note: the submission deadline on the website is wrong. The deadline is TBD, but you should get started. We will let you know as soon as the deadline is decided.

We invite students to submit an essay on any scientific topic that interests them. Possible topics, for example, include the significance of the discovery of the Higgs Boson or necessary steps required in improving gene therapy. All essays must be up to 8000 characters in length.

Broad Street Scientific apps have been released on our website! The hard copies are due October 10th and 5pm to Dr. Bennett's office. We encourage everyone to apply as BSS is a publication made by students to showcase the work of students. We represent the student body and we would love to have you on our staff as a science editor, publication editor or webmaster!
