Goodbye 34, HELLO 35!!

Getting to spend my birthday with the ones I love. came out from Georgia to star in my next short film tomorrow!

HMU if you wanna volunteer as a behind the scenes photographer anytime between 10am-7pm tomorrow, Friday, May 2nd.

We got the Durham Arts Council grant so we are moving forward with my next short film.

Two nights ago, I got a call to be the producer of a 48 hour film project in Charlotte and after a 2.5 hr drive and a late night with only an hour or so of sleep, I'm sitting watching the magic happen. I've made connections. I've made friends. I've made colleagues. They're in my flock now as much as I'm in theirs.

We won!

"Roll Pin Punch" was awarded "Best Storytelling" at the Counterpunch Film Festival hosted by in South Carolina. Instead of the traditional plaque, they gave us a special necklace. I want to wear it on my wedding day but my fiance vetoed that idea haha

We won!
Best Narrative Short Film at the Huntington Beach Cultural Film Festival!!

I flew in to Santa Ana, CA (where I was born 🥰) and had an awful ordeal with Frontier from NC.

I brought my parents, my aunt, my cousin and her kids to the film festival. By the time I won the award only my aunt was in the audience since my parents got locked out! She is the grandmother of our star so it was very special for her.

I wanna thank God first and foremost. I'm honored to carry a legacy that is beyond me. I would like to think that I've made my ancestors proud.
