Goodbye 34, HELLO 35!!

Getting to spend my birthday with the ones I love. came out from Georgia to star in my next short film tomorrow!

We got the Durham Arts Council grant so we are moving forward with my next short film.

Welcome .ann21 for joining the cast of "It's Your Funeral' written, directed, and produced by Debbie Vu and lensed by Watson-Grant. We will be shooting on May 2nd in Carrboro. Two nights ago, I got a call to be the producer of a 48 hour film project in Charlotte and after a 2.5 hr drive and a late night with only an hour or so of sleep, I'm sitting watching the magic happen. I've made connections. I've made friends. I've made colleagues. They're in my flock now as much as I'm in theirs.

We won!

"Roll Pin Punch" was awarded "Best Storytelling" at the Counterpunch Film Festival hosted by in South Carolina. Instead of the traditional plaque, they gave us a special necklace. I want to wear it on my wedding day but my fiance vetoed that idea haha

for being a wonderful friend and a captive audience member
for being the kickass editor I had been waiting for my whole career
for elevating the narrative to new heights with his musical talent
for manifesting this story and being such a gentle force to make it all happen
