PBS North Carolina has always embraced change. Since 1955, we’ve evolved again and again to better serve and inspire. Now, it’s time for another change: We will discontinue CenterPiece at the end of the year. The December issue will be our last one as we focus our resources in ways that better serve our members.

What’s not changing? Our commitment to you. We understand the news about CenterPiece might be disappointing. Please know, however, that we’re here to help you stay connected.

Conservation has helped their numbers rebound, and scientists are studying where they live, how many there are and their demographics. By collecting and analyzing hair follicles, rich with DNA, researchers can better manage the state’s growing bear population. Learn more with Sci NC!
