Join us on Thursday, June 19, at 11:00 AM at Shaw University as we raise the Juneteenth flag in the capital city for the very first time!

The ceremony begins inside Estey Hall and concludes with a powerful processional to the flagpole, where members of the Montford Point Marines will lead the official Juneteenth Flag Raising.

- Keynote Speaker: Adrienne Nirdé, NC African American Heritage Commission
- Musical Guest: Pastor Nell Smith, Stellar Award nominee
- Freedom Documents Read By:
• Councilman Corey Branch – Emancipation Proclamation

From ringing the bell in 2024 to raising a fork with the people I love, every moment was filled with gratitude, joy, and reflection.
