Jett and I are going to be on whatnot live selling all of his thrifting treasures which includes a lot of his favorite things such as Disney and plushies. All money earned will be to purchase comfort items for children admitted at Duke Children’s Hospital and the Durham Ronald McDonald House. For those of you that know Jett, he has spent many nights and some extended admissions in hospitals in Louisiana and North Carolina. This is a new adventure for Jett and I both. We have never done anything like this but we are excited. We hope many of you will join us and spread the word. You can follow us by searching adventurewithjett. Our first show is scheduled in a few weeks as we work to gather items, photograph and upload. This will also be a great way for y’all to engage with Jett. He loves being on camera so I’m hoping he will love doing this.

We will also auction items right here on his page.

We hope everyone will join us and as it gets closer we will given more information on date and time.

This lil guy has no idea that Make A Wish is coming to our house today with a local contractor to see if they can grant his secret room wish. Our house was built with the potential to add a bonus room which can be made into a secret room. Fingers crossed as he has wanted this for a few years now. When we first moved to NC we turned a coat closet into a secret room with a TV and fan which worked perfect until he started growing. This is all he talks about so I’m so hopeful. Everyone coming to our home knows not to mention his wish because he would be devastated if they said no. I’ll post an update soon! ❤️❤️💙💜

Call us crazy but wish granted!! Jett wanted to go back to Disney for a haircut. Jett doesn’t like getting haircuts but in February he loved getting his haircut at Disney. He asked, we made a reservation, hopped in the car and made it happen. He’s had such a rough year with constant infections and pain. We have been faced with making some hard decisions about Jett’s quality of life so this trip was worth every drop of sweat. 💇‍♂️🪄❤️💙💜

I wanted to give another update on Jett. We met with infectious disease last week and we knew during that appointment he still had a UTI which has been ongoing since Jan. He’s been on constant antibiotics since Jan which has been hard on his stomach. We have done bladder washouts and everything possible to get rid of these infections. This infection has grown a couple bacteria’s. We are nearing the end of the road. He’s currently doing an at home antibiotic bladder wash daily. If this doesn’t work his only option will be a permanent cath and he will lose the ability to urinate on his on. With AHC things constantly changes and my hope was that his bladder would improve. We have been trying to avoid surgery. He’s always in pain and the infection has spread to his skin. My heart is broken. Permanent changes and decisions that can’t be reversed are hard to make. We want what’s best for him and want him feeling better. He hasn’t made any videos because he’s just felt that bad and he’s been aggressive because of it. He’s tired of going to the doctor and that makes his aggression a million times worse. He’s asked to get his haircut again at Disney and that is something we can make happen. We snagged the only appointment left in July and we are heading there for a haircut in Magic Kingdom. It’s going to be hot but we ordered a cooling vest for him and if this brings just a lil joy for him, we will manage the heat. I’ve never known the amount of pain he has daily but I can give him something that will bring happiness despite all the pain. Hopefully as we start our travels this Friday we can share some videos. Please pray, send good vibes, juju or fairy dust whichever you do. He can use all of it. Our best hope is the antibiotic wash works and no surgery but it’s been a month since we started the wash and he still has infection so my hope is slowing disappearing. Thank you all for always thinking of Jett. ❤️❤️💙💜

Making a short post to let everyone know we haven’t made a video in awhile because Jett has been fighting one infection after another. While I often video in some of his darkest moments he has verbalized not wanting to be filmed and I’ll always respect that.

He is starting a new treatment and we are hoping to get him feeling better. This has been going on since early Jan. These infections have made him grouchy and aggressive more so lately. When you can’t verbalize exactly what you feel you have to understand the aggression will worsen.

We tried to have him fitted for a new wheelchair because his is too small. I can’t even strap him to keep him safe because I can’t extend the straps anymore. They were not able to get measurements because of his aggression. He really needs a new chair so we are really hoping he’s feeling better soon.

Let’s hope this new treatment will get him feeling better. 💜💙
