“The beauty I’m referring to is metabolized grief. Like kintsukuroi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with powdered gold, what is normally seen as a fatal flaw is distinguished with value. When we come into contact with this kind of beauty, it serves as a medicine for the brokenness in ourselves, which then gives us the courage to live in greater intimacy with the world’s wounds.”

It's crazy but it's true.

When my soul knows I can't possibly tear down another wall.

Not one more brick.

But I'll settle for something soft.

Like a fresh perspective.

From the other side of a wall that used to block my path.

But now holds my vision.

The soul delivers.

“The medicine of who you are is the drop that can shift the aquifer of our culture.”

We live in a time and culture that often scoffs at the small. Whether it’s the size of your social media following or the number of books you’ve read this year.

And yet the smallest, most subtle medicines (like flower essences) often carry the most profound impact for our spirits.

So next time you feel small remember…

You are a flower essence for this world.

All you need is a few drops of in a cup and the water itself changes.

The medicine of who you are is the drop that can shift the whole aquifer of our culture.

So appreciate tiniest building blocks of yourself…and you’ll make a quantum leap that can change the world.

💡 This is the year I solidify my identity as a soul scout; something I’ve known internally for a long time has finally found a way to the external world. My 2023 challenge to myself is to upload one video per week and send one newsletter per month - and this week's video is a soulful one.

💡 My second Paul Linden interview is now online - head over to my channel on YouTube and find out why Paul Linden is famous in both the embodied trauma AND the language/linguistics fields. It's another potentially triggering interview; we talk about trauma, sexual assault, and unusual exercises involving ge****ls. Not for the faint of heart (nor those who experience secondhand embarrassment easily.)

💡 But don’t be dismayed - we also talk about hope for humanity, how to find tools that actually work, healing community and individuality simultaneously, how to get clear about your intention and make an impact, and so much more. He tells a lot of bad jokes, as usual, and sometimes I get it and laugh along.

💡 Paul is a sly and silly linguist who twists your words until you actually make sense, forcing us to reckon with the sheer amount of interpretation we call communication every single day. He uses his 50+ years of martial arts experience, formal physical education training, and his passion for data, computer sciences, posture, mindfulness, language, and meaning - and blends it into a body of practice called Being In Movement.

💡 Paul's website is filled with free or affordable ebooks, and resources to learn to live more comfortably in your body, while giving us the language to more safely communicate. Go sign up for a class or download some free resources at: https://www.being-in-movement.com/

💡 This is the second of a series of 5 or 6 interviews I’ll release in the coming months. It was an honor to interview Paul in his home like this and I want to make sure I’ve fully taken in the content of each session before releasing it to the world. I hope you find them informative, soulful, and connective to the human experience.

So timely.

What is the next story humanity, our culture, or you decide to tell?

As we move into the third decade of the 21st Century, the power of story is no longer a strange notion. We hear about ‘controlling the narrative”—the political narrative, brand narrative, etc., and even the relationship narrative. We have learned that our suffering and happiness depend much on...

Dear Child

Let me carry you to bed, tuck you in together with a hot chocolate and tell you a fairy tale from the empowered divine feminine.

You are safe

It’s ok to rest when tired, love

I'm proud of you

I believe you

I'm here for you. You matter so much to me
You matter just because you are who you are

How can I love you better?
Tell me your troubles
I will hold you in a warm embrace anytime you need

Your emotions are valid
All of your emotions and confusion are welcome with me
All of your feelings are welcome with me

Trust in yourself and your abilities, no matter how lost you become, may you always return to the perfection that you are

There is no competition
Learn from others but allow your imagination to express your authenticity and individual nature

You are perfect the way you are with all that you are and you can always trust in yourself
Above all things, ”Be true to thy Self!”

Spend as much time in nature as you need, and share your gifts with others.

Do everything in your own time.

Thank you for healing past and future generations. I love you
I love you.
I LOVE everything about you
I love you, always.

Remember who you are...an infinite being of light.

By Sensitive Women of the Earth ❤

I posted the question “If you were your own best mother, what would you give or say to yourself today?” in the group women of the earth.

The above poem is a compilation of the answers from many different women in the group.

Isn’t it beautiful?

Please write it on a piece of paper and stick it on your fridge and if you have a moment of struggle during this festive season, or if your pain points are triggered, read this out loud to yourself.

May you always feel the unconditional embrace of the divine feminine in your heart.

✨ Do you crave things you don't really want?

✨ Do you need to taste sweetness or cling to emotional bitterness?

✨ Do you have sluggish digestion and foggy motivation?

✨ Are you chronically nauseated?

✨ Are you discontent and not sure why?

If you're like me, you've answered Yes to these questions.

I've taken my nutrition and herbalist training, combined it with embodied yoga psychology and nature connection, and am hosting a workshop to share and connect with others going through a similar journey.

This class is going to be the foundation for many classes to come - but this the only class like it in person for awhile!

Each one of these emotions can be broken down into the physical, mental, and spiritual way we view and process the world.

🤔 Everything from our habits, goals, childhood, environment, friends, job, geography, and MORE are wrapped up in our physical health and the way we process the uncomfortable and NECESSARY bitterness, nausea, and hunger we experience as human bodies.

🤗 Tomorrow at Mantra (Blue Springs, MO) join me to taste some bitter herbs, practice some embodied philosophy, get psychological with our yoga, and witness other amazing humans on their journeys.
