Their Early Education students used them to write and illustrate their very own children’s books as part of a creative project. We love supporting young storytellers and future educators as they explore the magic of writing for little readers. 💛

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review by Ivelisse Rodriguez: "Across decades, José Luis Roldán channels the grief of any Puerto Rican who lives “alla afuera.” Roldán captures how
migrating is more than exchanging one land for another. All migrants live with memories and the never-ending catalogue of all that has changed; the catalogue updated and revised during each return. Loss of home, loss of love, and loss of parents are the center of these poems. But the tentacles of these poems are not just grief, but also love, joy, admiration, and remembrance. In these fraught political times, Roldán’s poetic memoirs reminds us that there is a land that we love--who loves us back. These poems and memories are the warm embrace we need.
