The Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office would like to take a few moments to recognize and thank Cheyenne County Ambulance for everything they do for our community.
From the late hours of August 5, 2026, into the early morning of August 6, 2026, Cheyenne County EMS played a vital role during an active and constantly evolving scene. While the deputy focused on the investigation and taking the suspect into custody, EMS remained with the victim, ensuring they were safe, cared for, and heard during an incredibly difficult time.
Many calls only have us crossing paths for a few moments before moving on to the next task. Then there are nights like this, when EMS remains on scene for far longer than most people realize, providing compassionate care and support every step of the way.
We are grateful for your professionalism, your patience, and your unwavering commitment to those who need you most. We truly could not do this job without our partnership with Cheyenne County EMS. Thank you for always stepping up when it matters most.
As a result of this incident, one suspect was arrested on charges of:
* Domestic Violence
* Second-Degree Assault
* Unlawful Use of a Controlled Substance
The suspect is currently being held in custody on no bond pending advisement before a judge.
All persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
