When the 99th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade kicks off Thursday morning, viewers in New Mexico may spot a familiar face among the performers.

Victoria Phillips, a Rio Rancho High School graduate, will take part in the nationally watched parade as a member of Northern Arizona University’s marching band. Phillips, who plays French horn, said performing in the parade is a dream come true.
