MANUEL “MANNY” J. GARZA JR., 51, born on July 19, 1974, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025.

Manny lived a life meaningfully rooted in faith, family, and devoted service to his country and community. He was a man of extraordinary kindness and generosity, widely known for his hallmark big hugs and calm demeanor. He left a lasting and bright impression on all who met him.

Manny was a proud federal officer for the Department of Homeland Security—U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for twenty years. He was known for his steadfast integrity and dedication, holding various roles throughout his tenure. Most recently he was awarded with the prestigious CBP Blue Eagle Award, a career long goal and testament to his distinguished service.

In his free time, Manny was dedicated to his family and friends. He loved watching movies, fishing, and cooking out. He was also a proud member of the Iron Pigs Motor Cycle Club, known to his crew as "3Pete," where he cherished riding alongside his IPMC members.

Manuel is survived by his loving wife, Penny Garza; his parents, Manuel J. Garza Sr. and Mary Margaret Garza; his children, Vanessa Hernandez (Greg), Danielle Cape, Briana Quinonez (Michael), Manuel Garza III, and Roman Garza; and six cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his three siblings: Eric Garza (Juanita), Alex Garza, and Elizabeth Garza.

It is heartbreaking to say goodbye to someone who gave us so many great memories. His cheerful disposition and bright smile will be forever missed.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 2:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. with a rosary at 7:00 p. m. Funeral services will be held, Monday, November 17, 2025 at 1:00 p. m. at St. Judes Catholic Church at 130 S. San Augustine Ave. in San Antonio, Tx. Interment to follow at Mission Park South Cemetery, in San Antonio, Tx.
